Mercedes C-Class gets new turbo engine in the UK

Mercedes UK officially announced that the new C-Class will receive a new 1.6-liter turbo engine capable to deliver 152 horsepower and 250Nm of torque.

The unit in question is a direct-injection petrol engine and will power the C 180 BlueEFFICIENCY model.

Opting for the new 1.6-liter petrol unit you will get a fuel consumption of 47,9mpg UK and CO2 emissions of 138g CO2/km for the sedan and estate variant while the coupe variant will return a fuel economy of 44,1mpg UK.

2012 Volkswagen Beetle recalled

Volkswagen issues a recall for the 2012 model year Beetle due to some problems regarding tires. However, there is no panic as the company announced that only 46 units currently on the market are affected by the recall.

We talk about improper summer tires which, according to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, can increase the risk of an accident.

Alfa Romeo announced the introduction of a new TwinAir engine for the current MiTo in the United Kingdom.

We talk about an 875cc TwinAir Turbo two-cylinder unit seen on several models such as the Fiat Panda, 500 or Punto.

Lamborghini celebrates 1,000 Aventadors built

The Italians from Lamborghini announced today that they are celebrating an important milestone, namely the 1,000th example Aventador LP700-4, the latest supercar produced by the Sant’Agata Bolognese-based company.

Stephan Winkelmann, CEO at Lamborghini, handed the 1,000th Aventador to a German client. The anniversary model benefits from an Argos Orange exterior finish and comes with chassis number 1,000.

This achievement of producing 1,000 Lamborghini Aventador units was possible in just 15 months while, for example, the 1,000th Murcielago left the factory’s gates over two years and five months since production began.

2013 Lexus ES starts at $36,100
