Audi unveils new Crosslane Coupe Concept

The Crosslane Coupe is Audi’s newest futuristic crossover concept, a prototype meant to preview the future design approach of the company.

The new Audi Crosslane Coupe uses a hybrid power plant and is build using a new technology called Multimaterial Space Frame, a combination of carbon fiber-reinforced polymer and aluminum.

Thanks to these materials, the total weight of the car is just 1,390 kilograms while under the bonnet we find a 1.5-liter TSFI engine and an electric motor.

The total output is rated at about 174 horsepower which means that the 0-100 km/h acceleration is possible in 6,8 seconds with a top speed of 181 km/h.

Speaking of dimensions, the German concept is 4,2 meters long and 1,8 meters wide. Innovative features at the interior include a touchpad, a new selector level, virtual displays in the instrument panel and new seats with integrated head restraints.

Audi’s new concept also comes with two working modes, namely the “Cruise” which means that the model will be as efficient as possible while the “Race” mode makes use of all the power available.
