Honda NSX Out of Stock Before Shown in Public

There’s no doubt Honda has been a successful car manufacturer right from the start, however, even in this position, running out of stock for a car that’s been shown once or twice around the world before being put in production is a statement in itself.

Apparently Honda accepted orders for about 100 cars starting with 2013, before pronouncing orders obsolete for the NSX. It should be noted that this has only happened in the UK and the NSX is still up for grabs in other regions. Read more »

Acura RL 2014

It is a small car, with high fuel-economy standards, a six-cylinder luxury sedan. Engine is a 0.2 liter. The naturally aspirated, direct-injected 3.5-liter V-6 feeds the front wheels 310 horsepower and 272 lb-ft of torque, up 10 and 1, respectively, from the old 3.7-liter. The speed is finding 60 mph in 5.8 seconds and the quarter-mile passing in 14.3.

Acura calls it Precision All-Wheel Steer, or, cutely, P-AWS, and it can toe the wheels independently.

The prices for this is car starting at $49,345. That includes an adequate but by no means complete raft of acronyms: P-AWS, LDW, FCW, full LED headlights, and the basic but excellent 10-speaker ELS audio system. The next trim level up is the RLX with Technology, at $55,345, and it brings 19-inch aluminum wheels, four more speakers, blind-spot warning, power-folding side mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, and very soft Milano leather.

The fully stocked car is $61,345 RLX with Advance, with all the above plus ACC, LKAS, ventilated front seats, parking sensors, heated rear seats, and precrash braking and seat belt systems.

2014 Acura MDX

The new 2014 MDX is made of advanced lightweight materials, primarily high-strength steel, aluminum and magnesium, it has strong and rigid unit body and rides on a 2.75-inch longer wheelbase.

This MDX uses a restyled dash with enhanced display screens, leather upholstery, power heated front buckets and a more spacious center console. The options roster includes an Acura/ELS premium audio system, rear-seat DVD entertainment systems,a navigation system, new-genertion Acuralink cloud-based connectivity.

The engine is a new direct-injected i-VTEC 3.5-liter, V6 with econo-enhancing Variable Cylinder Management that is making 290 horsepower and 267 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission that features Sport Mode and shifter paddles.

The new Integrated Dynamic System (IDS) allows the driver to adjust steering effort, throttle response and SH-AWD programming as well as the MDX’s active exhaust sound to Comfort, Normal or Sport modes.
