Top Safety Rating Failed on BMW i3 in Euro NCAP Tests

The i3 electric version from BMW has failed to score a five star rating in the EuroNCAP safety tests. The new city version is poorly rated when it comes to safety assistance systems.

The Euro NCAP stated that “weakness” is the word for adult chest protection and that the seats in the front provided limited protection in a rear-end collision against whiplash.

The same four star safety rating was awarded to Mercedes-Benz Citan Kombi MPV, Ford EcoSport and Nissan Note. Surprisingly, the new T5 from Volkswagen also received four stars.
